Guided walks along the lines from the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle, Leeds-Morecambe and other selected Railways.
A Dales High Way is a long distance trail which starts at Saltaire and goes 90 miles north to Appleby in Westmorland, both stations on the Leeds - Settle - Carlisle line. The stages along the trail are also accessible from stations along the line.
Walks from stations along the Hope Valley Line, which crosses the Peak District from Sheffield to Manchester. This site is run by Marketing Sheffield, part of Sheffield City Council.

The NYMR is a heritage (steam) railway - but part of its line, from Whitby to Grosmont, shares the track with national rail, so the walks along that section are accessible by normal train.
