Freshford to Bath Spa
This short walk goes through some of the locations where the 1953 Ealing Comedy, the Titfield Thunderbolt was filmed in the beautiful Avon Valley. It will start at Freshford Station, go through the Village (location for the village of Titfield in film) and on to Limpley Stoke. We then cross the busy A36. Then through Monkton Combe (site of the station in the film) to Combe Down, then Widcombe and then into Bath in time for lunch.
The route is a combination of quiet lanes, footpaths and Bath's period streets. It will include some climbing and may go through fields with cattle or sheep.
